My kiddo’s current loves…

Ella and Elijah Oct

//Toilet paper–if any bathroom door is open, watch out! Ella will go in there like a quick little mouse and grab the toilet paper faster than you can say her name. She usually grabs the end of the roll, takes it throughout the house and then takes off just a little piece to chomp on.

//Bath time–It turns my “normal” Elijah into quite the crazy little man. He runs around {naked!}, doesn’t listen and is so very happy. It drives me insane and makes me smile at the same time. Continue reading

Just the two of them…

Ella & Elijah are quite the pair these days.

Sometimes I ask myself, “how did you get so lucky?!” And other times, I want to pull my hair out and beg for one moment of silence.

They love each other, for sure. But they also drive one another other CRAZY. She plays with a toy and Elijah automatically things it is his. He is building something and she wants nothing more than to destroy it. There is screaming and crying and the daily chant of “it’s mine!”

***BUT***

They are really just the most precious little people. He still calls her sweetie and sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or Jesus Loves Me to her when she cries. She has started saying his name and loves to follow him around.

Since Ella was born I have been trying SO HARD to capture the perfect sibling picture. And now that I have a photography business, I find myself having less and less time to write {on here} and capture my sweet little ones. I also don’t have much time to practice anymore. So all of those variables prompted me to start my own photography project–Ella & Elijah. I know…I am SO original! 😉

Basically I want to capture the two of them together at least once a week. I started two weeks ago and have some really great pictures to share. I hope to challenge myself more but right now this is all I can seem to fit in.

I just love these two.

on life, right now.

I wish I had more to say…

But the truth is…I really need to go to bed or just relax. This past week I haven’t gone to bed before midnight and I usually get up at 5 am. I am bound to burn out at this pace so I really should just turn off the computer!  But at the same time, I am loving how full my life is. Continue reading

Playing Photographer {Andrew the Senior}

First off a *HUGE* thank you to everyone for being so darn encouraging and supportive of EnjoyingNow Photography. I really did not expect such a wonderful response. I am very humbled by it all {and thankfully I am going to be very busy!}.

Now let’s talk about my handsome nephew for a few minutes…

I had the absolute best time taking his senior pictures. He was  WAY easier to pose than my usual toddler subjects–I only had to jump up and down once to make him smile. 😉 God also blessed us with the most beautiful hour of sunshine after a massive rainstorm and just before sunset.

I am proud of Andrew for many reasons. He is one of those strong and silent types. He is also kind beyond measure & the best brother {EVER!}. But my favorite quality…his humor. It almost hits you in the face because it comes out when you least expect it. And it always makes your day better.

Also big thank you also to my sister for trusting me to take Andrew’s senior pictures!
