A review, of sorts

I had mouth surgery yesterday. I believe this would bring my life-count up to 8. Don’t feel badly for me though.  Having a less than perfect mouth is definitely better than having a less than perfect heart, wouldn’t you agree? In life, perspective is everything.

Plus, every time I have a mouth surgery, I get a special treat:frosty

Trust me on this one friends. Basically: Wendy’s Frosty > Vicodin. Next time you have dental work, do not pass Go, do not collect $200, just get the Frosty. It is cold, delicious and it helps with the pain.

I haven’t really been able to eat much ‘real food’ the past two days so have been drinking/eating lots of smoothies, soups, yogurt, popsicles and hardboiled {Easter} eggs {weird, I know}. Today I had a McDonald’s mango/pineapple smoothie for lunch and a Jamba Juice Mango-a-go-go smoothie for dinner. Why all the mango? Well, I can’t have anything with seeds so that pretty much eliminates anything of the berry variety.

After consuming both smoothies, I would have you know that McDonald’s is just as good, if not a little better, than Jamba Juice. It is also waaaaaay cheaper. Jamba charged me around $5 for my beverage which, I will have you know, is almost as much as a Chipolte Burrito. Mmmm, Chipolte sounds good right now.

Also I feel the need to let you know about my new favorite variety of yogurt: Chobani. I used to LOVE Yoplait {and I do still enjoy it} but Chobani is so much better {lots more protein and real fruit}. My two favorite flavors are red blood orange and pomegranate {pear is also delicious}.

Try it.

And if you don’t like it, blame the Greek {yogurt} god’s not me. 😉

  1. Chobani is the best! My sis-in-law used to work there and I got all kinds of coupons from her which is why I started eating it. Now I buy it every week, coupon or no. Blood Orange is my fave and Pomegranate and Pineapple are close seconds. Dave does not like Blood Orange. Weirdo 😉

Sorry about your mouth, but glad you get an excuse to eat Frosty’s. If I lived closer, I’d treat you to Chipotle once you got better 🙂 Don’t OD on the Vicodin…I mean, Frosty’s! 🙂
