Little Farm’s Gender Reveal Party

We sent out the invites about a month ago (via email):

What team are you on????

Little Farm
Gender Reveal Party

February 6th, 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Appetizers and dessert will be served

Bring a dollar to participate in the due date pool

Most importantly, wear the color of your respective team.

(hint: blue for Team Boy; pink for Team Girl)

Little Farm’s Parents Hope to See You There!!!!

My theme was boy vs. girl so everything wasΒ pink andΒ blue.

About 30 of our family and closest friends came and our house was PACKED! {just the way we like it}

When guests arrived, our front door had an “It’s a girl” and “It’s a boy” sign {forgot to take a pic of that}

We had everyone bring a dollar to guess Little Farm’s birthday

The person who guesses closest to the actual date and time of the baby’s birth{without going over} will when the money

I was hoping some kind soul would put down May 30th for my benefit but everyone tended to stay right around my due date.

Here are some of the decorations and the cupcakes that contained the blue or pink colored M&M that would reveal Little Farm’s gender :

Boy and Girl drinks:

Girls had pink Lemonade, sparkling italian soda, iced tea

Boys had Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Pepsi and Root Beer

More of the cupcakes, yum!

The food table:

The “girl” food:

Cucumber Sandwiches

Lemon poppy-seed mini muffins

Fruit with yogurt dip

Hazelnut Pirouettes

Yogurt covered raisins

The “boy” food:

Chips (Ruffles, sour cream & onion Lays, nacho flavored Doritos)

Beef Jerky

Pigs in a blanket

Now for the respective teams…

First we have Team Girl!

Mostly girls and yours truly. πŸ™‚

And now Team Boy!

A good mix of different people

And of course Turbo and David were on the boy team πŸ™‚

Now it’s time for the big reveal!

Everyone got their own cupcake

and bit into it at the same time to see…

a BLUE M&M!!!!!

We are going to have a precious little boy

Elijah Michael Farmer

which means I shall remain the only girl in our household.

It’s a hard job being the only princess but someone has to do it. πŸ™‚

I loved having this party. It was hard to keep it a secret an entire week but completely worth it in the end. I had gotten the cupcake reveal idea from another blog but David and I came up with the other elements of the party on our own.

I especially loved being able to tell our entire family at the same time. It is the first grandson on David’s side and that made it even more special. πŸ™‚

  1. That is so freaking cute! whenever we decide to have children this is such a great idea… although Ed’s family is in england, humm… might need to think about an international gender reveal, but either way i absolutely LOVE IT!

  2. Sooooo excited for you, Ali!!! What a beautiful name. You look absolutely stunning. What a lovely mother you’re going to make πŸ™‚

  3. Congrats! Jeff, Caleb and I are so excited for you. We were very bummed that we couldn’t make it to your party (how fun!). Caleb can’t wait to play with his new friend!
